Spangles is the Annual Technical Festival of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Easwari Engineering College. Scheduled to take place in our premises on the 15th of February, 2019, Spangles will help the participants to redefine their horizons in recent innovations in technology through technical paper presentations, panel discussions and a wide spectrum of events, both technical and non-technical.

Paper Presentation

Let your mind write not hands…. You’re a wizard, when it comes to articulating your idea…. Have a research paper waiting to be unleashed in the world of intellectuals? Is your work still waiting to be appraised? So it’s your shot to prove how unwaveringly you stand. A golden opportunity to present your work before Stalwarts of Electricals.
RULES:
3 members per team
Paper should be in IEEE format.
No plagiarism
Abstracts should be sent to eeespangles19@gmail.com specifying “Paper presentation” in the subject, on or before 14th Feb 2019.
Two hard copies of the paper should be submitted on the day of event.
Each team is allowed to choose only one domain.
Presentation should not exceed 7 minutes and 2 minutes is allotted for questions.


Project Display

Got a monster project? We are not afraid. In the new era where people and machines are more connected than ever before, Spangles 2019 presents to the aspiring innovators, the project expo.
RULES:
Number of members per team - 3
All innovative projects are welcomed.
Abstracts should be sent to eeespangle19@gmail.com specifying “project Display” on or before 14th Feb 2019.
Both hardware and software should be brought to the college at the day of the event.
5 mins is allotted for explaining the project
The project should be in working condition while explaining the working of the project.
The project should be in Electrical or Electronic domain.

Technical Quiz

“Thrust your knowledge thirst with a gist" Searching for a ground to exhibit your technical knowledge? Come out with your gushing ideas before the clock ticks. Unleash your ideas to explore all rounds. Bring the techno wizard in you to crack the trivial questions posed.
RULES:
Number of members per team - 2
Quiz consists of two rounds.
ROUND 1: A written test will be conducted and the best teams will unlock the next level.
ROUND 2: An quiz comprising rapid fire round to test your intelligence.
The quiz must be completed within the specified time limit
Winners will be chosen based on the scores.

Crack the Word

Look no further as here is a fun game to test your technical knowledge and your speed. Complete this word puzzle based on the clues given and win yourself some awesome prizes!!
RULES:
Team should consist of one or maximum of 2.
Two levels of game will be conducted.
First round will be for 10mins.
second round will be for 5mins.
The team which finds the max words in the given time will win.

E-CONNECTIONS

Bored of theoretical stuff? Wish to get engrossed in the mystery of electrical domain? E-CONNECTIONS is the right platform for you to link your electrical skills and to showcase your technical prowess. Participate in this exciting event to put your practical knowledge to test.
RULES:
The team must have a minimum of two members.
Participants need not be necessarily from the same institution.
All students must have a valid ID to participate.
The participants are not allowed to bring any addition material.
Teams involved in any kind of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.
Decision taken by the event co-ordinators will be final.
Round 1:
Paper and pen round
This round contains basic questions on electrical and electronics to check the foundation of the student in the domain.
Round 2:
Surprise round
This round is a surprise round for all the qualifiers of the first event which will be revealed only on the day of the event.

Tech Hunt

Tech hunt is basically a kind of treasure hunt which will have technical/scientific clues to race to a prize with fun experience🔥.
RULES:
ROUND 1:

TEAM SHOULD CONSIST OF MAXIMUM 2 MEMBERS.
A RIDDLE WILL BE GIVEN BASED ON ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS WHICH WILL BE SAME TO ALL THE TEAMS.
THE HINTS WILL BE PLACED INSIDE THE CAMPUS AND THE TEAM MATES SHOULD GET THE ANSWERS WITHIN 10 MINS. THE ANSWER SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE EVENT REGISTRATION COUNTER.
THE TEAM WHOSE ANSWER IS RIGHT WILL BE PROMOTED TO NEXT ROUND
ROUND 1:
A PUZZLE WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TEAM.
PUZZLE SOLVING TIME-3-5MINS.
ONE TEAM WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS WINNER.

This event is basically to improve the marketing skills for those who are waiting to showcase their talents and to bring out the ability of their creative minds by managing the given time and by shaping the team spirit and coordination.
RULES:
ROUND1:
Team should consist of maximum 5 members.
Tests the basic knowledge on company names, logos, audio clips.
ROUND1:
A product will be given on spot to be enacted.
Preparation time-5 minutes.
Performance time-3 minutes.
3 teams will be awarded based on creativity, humour, team coordination, clarity of thoughts.
Judge decision will be final.

Market Mania

Do you have an idea that you’d love to share? Do you have what it takes to sell a product? Market Mania gives you the chance to get a taste of how your business pitch is going to be in the real world.
RULES:
Round 1:
A team should consist of maximum 4 members.
A written quiz based on logos, products, prices and recent business news will be conducted to all the teams.
Round 2:
The selected teams should come up with a creative business idea.
The preparation time is 10 minutes.
The team should present their product for 5-7 minutes.
The judges' decision will be final.

Young talented filmmakers out there, it’s time to showcase your talents. Get creative, record it and submit. The “perfect” short film will be the one which you can execute better than anyone else. Stay true to your voice, because you can’t fake authenticity.

ID card mandatory.
Only one entry per team is allowed.
Duration of the film must be within 10-20 mins.

To all Hollywood fans out there, do you think you're the best when it comes to fandom? Then take part in this quiz and prove you're the best of all.
RULES:
Its a single round event.
Maximum 2 per team.
Team members can be from different colleges.
Usage of mobile phones or any other devices will lead to immediate disqualification.
In case of a tie, a tie breaker will be conducted between the teams to decide the winner.

A list of items to be procured will be provided to each team.
The maximum time provided for each team is 120 minutes.
To complete the task, the team members should click a selfie with each of the items provided in the list.
Each selfie must feature all the team members.
Judging will be done based on the number of items a team is able to provide a selfie with.

The society was founded in the year 1975. for promoting the cause of Quality Education, by Thiru T.R.Paarivendhar an Academician and Educationist. EEC instituted in the academic year 1996. affiliated to Anna University.Chennai, since 2002. accredited by NAAC and approved by A1CTE. New Delhi. The College has obtained ISO 9001:2015 Certification from TUV South Asia.

Our College offers Eight Under-Graduate and Six Post-Graduate Programme covering Engineering & Technology, and Management. Most of the courses are accredited by NBA. The college has a strong Industry-Interaction with reputed National and International organizations.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers Bachelor of Engineering in EEE. Masters in Embedded system. The Department has secured permanent affiliation with Anna University and Accredited by NBA New Delhi. The Department is recognized as a Research Center for PhDM.S (by research) by Anna University,Chennai.

Research work is being carried out in the areas like Deregulated Power System. Power Quality. Special Electrical Machines. FACTS Devices and Wireless Networks and Renewable Energy Systems. The department has set a Centre for Renewable Energy Research lab with team of faculty members. The department has signed MOU with industries and research labs for research, consultancy and student activities.
